SYNOPSIS

In “The Good Liar,” consummate con man Roy (Ian McKellen) sets his sights on his latest mark: recently widowed Betty (Helen Mirren), worth millions. And he means to take it all. But this time, what should be a simple swindle escalates into a cat-and-mouse game with the ultimate stakes, in a story about the secrets people keep and the lies they live.

Directed by Bill Condon, from a screenplay by Jeffrey Hatcher, based on the novel by Nicholas Searle, “The Good Liar” also stars Russell Tovey and Jim Carter. Condon and Greg Yolen produced.
